Meshform U-sections provide the fastest, most cost effective method of forming ground beams
Custom made Meshform panels placed against reinforcement, fitted with plastic spacers, ready for back filling.
Meshform panels used in pile caps are easily adapted, in situ, for intersecting beams
BEAMS
When using Meshform U-sections in piled foundations there is no need for concrete blinding, instead a thin layer of type 1 aggregate or sand may be used to level the trench bottom and bed in the beam soffit. In the case of ground bearing beams, if any frictional resistance has been included in the design then L-section or side strips should be used.
Regeneration on brownfield land is now common place. Meshform with its steel mesh and durable double layers of polythene make it ideal for most brownfield sites.
BASES
Meshform can be used for reinforced bases of virtually any size and shape. The bases are constructed using flat sheets or L-sections of Meshform custom cut and preformed to your layout drawings. The preformed Meshform sections are placed against the cage using the appropriate spacers to give the required concrete cover. The base is then back filled to within 150mm of the height of the Meshform.
PILE CAPS
Meshform panels can be custom made to suit virtually any size and shape of pile cap, much like bases. Once assembled on site they can be easily adapted to accept intersecting beams. Just as with other Meshform applications the completed units, supported with the appropriate spacers, are back filled to within 150mm of the height of the Meshform.
